Saturday from 4pm- 8.30pm

Sunday from 11.30am- 6.30pm

We will focus on learning basic principles of #EggTempera and Icon Painting. From egg yolk and wine proportion through brush work and transparent layering. We will explore this unique technique through practise and experimentation. My goal is to make this technique feel easy to work with for people and to help them become confident in what they do.
I will try to help you find your own voice as well. I hope this will be a start of a long and exciting journey with Icon.

Absolute beginners welcome.

Cost of all three weekends is £235
Cost of one weekend is £89

This 5 day intensive workshop is designed for students of all abilities, no previous experience is required.

The aim of the course is to help you understand the tradition of icon painting through studying masterpieces, and through their inspiration to create your own icon.

Basia Mindewicz is an experienced icon painter and teacher, who will introduce every aspect of the process of making an icon, emphasising the importance of personal relationship with the Divine reality, and creativity.

EXPLORING THE DIVINE FEMININE

The meditation with Icon painting at the Salisbury Centre.

This is a chance to discover the divine feminine within through guided imagery meditation and creating your own Icon.

Taking place on 12 April from 10am till 4pm with the launch break in the Centre.

Eileen Foulner is a trustee at the Salisbury Centre and is an experienced meditator. She has taught Adults and Children to explore within through guided imagery.

Basia Mindewicz is an experienced icon painter and teacher. She is a founder of Edinburgh School of Icon Painting. She has been practising icon painting for over 10 years and taught for over 7 years. Her goal is to help you to become confident in your painting.

"The Sacred Face"

The Exhibition "The Sacred Face" will be on in 1 month. The Exhibition will be a part of MESP 2014 Festival. There will be a special Opening on 28 February at 6pm at St. Johns`s Church Hall in Edinburgh. Ukrainian and Georgian traditional songs will help create a perfect atmosphere for a spiritual art displayed on the Exhibition.
